MINISTERIAL APPOINTMENTS:Uzuegbunam Okagbue Is Not A Member Of Anambra APC.

 Uzuegbunam Okagbue Is Not A Member Of Anambra APC.

It has come to our notice that in the race for who gets the ministerial slot in Anambra, a certain name, one Uzuegbunam Okagbue had the misfortune of being featured in an article carried by a National Daily of immense repute. 

Like an odd number amongst even numbers, and like a consonant amidst a category of vowels we were thrown into a rude shock as to how Okagbue, a former Deputy Chief  Protocol to Dr Willie Obiano while the later bestrode Anambra as the state"s helmsman from 2017-2021. Okagbue was also to throw his hat in the Senatorial ticket for Anambra Central under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance coming a distant third. 

At no point in time, in the party's struggles to elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a feat which saw true party members resist all forms of inducements, threats and what have we, and in an election where ethnicity and tribalism featured heavily, did Okagbue feature in the party's attempts to hold the APC Fort in Anambra. Sadly, today the same Okagbue is being touted in certain quarters, a situation true party members view as a slap on its face.

It is on record that one of the challenges of the the party in Anambra State is the harrowing non reward system for party members who haven slaved and toiled were bypassed for expired leaders who never identified with the party but turned such an appointment into a kinship/ family affair, a clear case of "Monkey dey Work, Baboon dey chop" . 

We may have understood such an absurdity owing to the former president's disposition to party politics but how can such attempt to rear it's head again  under the watch of a core party man such as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The stones will surely cry out! 

While we understand that the buck stops at the president's table and the choice of a.miniater.is.solely his prerogative, we urge President Tinubu and his kitchen cabinet to ensure that the next minister or set of ministers are from the category of true party members and not a "Johnny Just Drop" like Uzuegbunam Okagbue.who cannot claim to be of APC Anambra stock. 

We are hereby calling on the leadership of the party in Anambra State as well as the Zonal and National levels to also intervene and ensure that the right things are done.

We in positive anticipation are of the belief that such a call would be heeded and Anambra APC would be represented by genuine party members who have long waited for the Uhuru moment in our party!

 Hon(Rev)Uche Ibeabuchi Ukadike congratulates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his Supreme Court Victory The federal character commissioner Representing Anambra State in the Federal Character commission has felicitated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR,on his victory at the Supreme Court. The apex court on Thursday dismissed the appeals by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party  and Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party against Tinubu's earlier victory at the Presidential Election Petitions Court, as lacking in merit. Hon(Rev) Ukadike described the judgment, which dismissed all the grounds of appeal formulated by Atiku and Obi,  as excellent. The federal character commissioner commended the apex court panel for being guided by the law and not by public sentiments or opinions in delivering its unanimous verdict in favour of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He said the verdict had brought an end to litigation in respect of the February 25, 2023 presidential election....
